Pronoun Case with Noun Appositives

Learn and Apply This Rule: When a pronoun is followed by a noun that means the same thing, the correct pronoun form is the one that would be correct even if the noun were not there.

All of these problems ask you to choose either "we" or "us."

Directions:

Mentally delete the noun following the blank, and then fill in the blank with the correct pronoun.

Examples:

Please be patient with __ newbies. (Answer: us)
__ newbies need patient teaching. (Answer: We)
Treat __ newbies with patience. (Answer: us)

After finishing problem #10, continue until your cumulative score is 80% or better, and then return to the original page (the "atrium") if you wish to do another exercise.
